How We Decide.

Not every pipe problem needs a full repipe. GO2 Plumber evaluates the age, material, and condition of your building's pipe system before recommending anything. A single burst pipe or pinhole leak in an otherwise healthy system usually just needs a targeted repair. But if we're seeing recurring leaks, widespread corrosion, or original galvanized or lead piping in a pre-war building, a full or partial repipe is often the more cost-effective long-term fix.

NYC's building stock makes this especially common — many pre-war buildings still have galvanized steel supply lines from the 1920s-1950s, which corrode from the inside and gradually restrict water flow even before they leak. We repipe using PEX or copper depending on your building type, budget, and any co-op or condo board material requirements, and we stage the work in sections to keep water shutoffs and disruption to a minimum.

Every pipe repair and repipe job is pressure-tested before we consider it complete, with photo documentation provided and a 1-year labor warranty on the work.
